Egg and Bacon Fried Rice.

It isn’t a massive secret that I spend more time than I should online, mostly either on pinterest or Facebook, but i do discover some very interesting and amazing things. I was on facebook and i saw a video of This egg and bacon fried rice and i was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and how nice it actually tasted. Had i thought this through i would have taken photos as i went through but i didn’t take any pictures…. oops!

  • 5 cups of rice.
  • 3 eggs.
  • 6 slices of bacon.
  • Soy sauce
  • 1 onion
  • a pinch of salt
  • Olive oil for cooking.

What you’ll need-

  • A saucepan
  • A wok or frying pan
  • a bowl
  • A table spoon
  • A wooden spoon
  • A spatula.

Step one- The rice

I actually am awful when it comes to cooking rice so i use boil in the bag rice then measure it out at the end leaving the rest of the rice to have the next day. Set a timer for however long the rice takes to cook . You don’t want overly soggy rice.

Step two- The eggs

The first thing i cook is the eggs. So crack the eggs into a bowl and beat thoroughly add a pinch of salt then put them to the wok or frying pan and treat similarly to scrambled egg. When the egg has been on there for about a minute and is all solidified you should wipe the bowl you put the egg in an put the egg into the bowl.

Step three- Bacon and onion.

Cut the bacon up into small squares and add a bit more oil to the pan. put the bacon in and dice the onion once diced add the onion to the pan. Once browned off turn to a low heat.

step four- The rice

Once the rice is done train the rice and rinse it off with water.

Step five- Mix it all together.

Put every thing into the pan ( the egg, bacon and onion) Add in a spoon of soy sauce and mix it in. Add as much or little as you want. After leaving everything in the pan for around a minute it is all good to be served.

I found this went exceptionally well with sweet chilli sauce, perhaps that’s just me being weird. peas also work well with it.
